Why this site exists
Wedding ang bao advice is often reduced to one number, even though venues, sessions and family situations vary widely. Singapore Ang Bao Rates is designed to make the underlying assumptions visible: which venue was used, when the rate was reviewed, what source supports it and where judgement rather than pricing should guide the decision.
What we publish
The core of the site is a maintained wedding venue dataset covering 142 Singapore venues. It powers the rate directory and calculator, and also supports original analysis of lunch-versus-dinner pricing and venue categories. Editorial guides cover questions that the database cannot answer on its own, from children at weddings and destination ceremonies to Chinese New Year and other local gifting occasions.

Corrections and accountability
Wedding packages change. If a venue publishes a new package or a rate appears outdated, readers and venue representatives can send the public source through our corrections page. We prefer an official package or venue page where one exists.
