Our source hierarchy
We prefer an official venue wedding package, current package PDF or venue pricing page whenever one is publicly available. If direct pricing cannot be found, we may use an established Singapore wedding reference as a secondary source. The venue database identifies the evidence type instead of presenting every record as though it came directly from the hotel or restaurant.
From package price to per-guest benchmark
Packages may be quoted per table, per person, nett or before service charge and GST. Where the evidence allows it, we record the published package price, the pricing basis and table size before deriving a comparable per-guest figure. If a price is quoted “++”, compulsory charges are included in the nett estimate before the per-guest calculation.
Why ranges stay as ranges
Hotels and restaurants can have several menus, rooms and date tiers. When the evidence supports a range rather than one number, we keep the range. For site-wide statistical analysis only, a range is represented by its midpoint; individual venue pages continue to show the full range.
How the calculator works
The calculator uses the selected venue and session as its starting benchmark, then shows a modest relationship adjustment separately. It does not claim to know the couple's private invoice and it does not treat banquet cost as a mandatory debt.
Review dates
Each venue has its own review date. The latest database review currently visible on the site is 9 Sep 2026. Updating one venue does not falsely make every other record “new”.
Original analysis
Our data pages calculate medians, price bands and session differences from the current venue records. These derived statistics are produced on this site rather than copied from a third-party article. The downloadable CSV makes it easier for readers to inspect the underlying records themselves.
What we do not know
We generally do not know the couple's negotiated discount, alcohol bill, optional upgrades or private contract terms. We do not estimate those values without evidence, and we do not imply that guests are required to reimburse them.
Corrections
If you find an outdated figure, send the venue name, wedding year and a public source where possible. Official venue information is preferred. Corrections are reviewed rather than copied automatically into the database.
